I really enjoyed this project!! It was a way to totally relax and let your mind wander to wherever it may. I do not see myself as someone with much artistic ability, but I also do not always care what the final result turns out to be. It is simply a way to express myself and let go of all the stress that comes with adult life. I love art that involves coloring or painting with your fingers. It makes me feel childlike when I am able to engulf myself in an art project. While I am painting or drawing I am usually peaceful and feel free of worries. I will definitely be doing projects like this in my classroom. I thought the shaving cream might turn out to be too messy, but it really was not. As long as we have enough room to do the work and covers for the floor or tables it will be just fine. The shaving cream added an unusual element making it different than just using paint. I would like to try to use this technique with different objectives, one creating their own work and another trying to mimic a famous artist's work.
